  • two pounds yellow onions
  • four pounds sweet potatoes
  • a pound and a quarter of purple-top turnips
  • a butternut
  • a stalk of cute Brussels sprouts
  • a quarter pound of spinach
  • a pound and a half of carrots
  • two heads of garlic
  • two smallish leeks
  • a pound of mixed black and watermelon radishes
  • the top of either collards or kale (I chose collards)
  • a celeriac
  • a smallish daikon
  • a bunch of rosemary

I still don't have the hang of radishes in any form. And I wish there'd been rutabagas; I've got only one left from the quarter bushel I got two weeks ago. I guess this is incentive to make it to the last farmer's market next week!

radishes are excellent sauteed or tossed into soups. seriously. just slice em thin.

Thank you. I might try that for one or two of them. I'm thinking my plan for the rest might be to gift my parents on Thanksgiving; they both like radishes :-)
