Mostly the happy-making bits, that is.

+ three bike rides, two involving picnic lunches with friends
+ sewing machine set up and used
+ a punnet of local, organic raspberries eaten one by one on the way home from the farmer's market
+ learned Quarto!; definitely mind-stretching, espcially giving the opponent a piece to play
+ inscribed 100-year star diary (with things to write about this year's astronomical events already)
+ Accordion Death Squad by torchlight, though without a waltz partner
+ book read with niece and nephew (downside: Curious George shouldn't be franchised like that)
+ Kakuro obsession indulged (>120 puzzles in <4 days)
+ African-print funky fabric acquired, and possible plan for use
+ farm share yumminess
+ porch dinner with a congenial, recently-shorn Firefly
+ a bunch of laundry done
+ building entrance redone
+ new-to-me iMac retrieved, set up, and Leopard installed (downside: still can't find the cable to get the photos off the camera)
+ Renaissonics
+ outside enjoying a thunderstorm

Wow, you really have been having fun. And I didn't realize you were such a puzzler, which is a new direction I'm considering. Just what about your building front needed redoing?!
Renaissonics?? Hooked on? hee

Puzzles are nice and brain stretching; that's what I like about Quarto!, as well, since it requires logic as the game plays out.

The front steps had been painted (and peeling, the last two coats), and is now stained, which will hopefully last significantly longer. And the polyeurethane on the wood has been redone.

*grin*

Curious George did start as books, after all...

Oh, I wasn't objecting to format, just content: Curious George is about stories, not teaching colors, shapes, and letters. I mean, it was done well and all, but that's not Curious George to me.
