magid... the camera battery running out of charge, so putting in the spare rechargeable one I cleverly got and charged (which was not at all cheap), and finding that the camera doesn't recognize it as an acceptable battery for this camera.
Grrrrrr to the salesperson who sold me the wrong one.
Had I but known, I'd've charged the battery last night. As it is, I missed half a day of photos, and I leave at FarTooEarly tomorrow morning, so I'm not bothering. *sigh*
