There was an interesting message that came over the PA system last Monday night as I waited for a Red Line train at South Station, reminding college students that if they're here for the semester (i.e. April 1), they should fill out the census form as living in MA (essentially). I started thinking about federal funds based on population and other useful reasons the state would have to remind students of this. It was not what I'd expect from a T announcement, though.
Oddest St. Patrick's Day moment: being offered a free cab ride across the pepperpot bridge "for St. Patrick's Day!" Um, no, but thanks.
Which felt completely different from the guy manning a pushcart thingie (the kind that's more like a magazine stand with an inside) near Times Square at dark o'clock sometime who complimented my hat and obviously wanted a few minutes of conversation to relieve the boredom.
I am so not ready for Passover. However, according to R. Aviner, Pesach cleaning should take about a day or less. Thanks to Chanaleh for the link.
The tree in the corner of my kitchen is having side shoots that I need to figure out how to cut off and root. Not gonna happen until after the holiday, though.
Procrastination is a huge problem for me. I need to keep reminding myself that I make choices all the time, and I should be choosing to use my time in good ways, productive ways, whether that is paid work, or exercise, or making something new. Anything is better than wasting hours with stupid online games.

Plans for vertical container gardening.
A house I'd like to walk through; I suspect the photos don't do it justice.
Some miniature cities.

Some edgy T-shirts.
I think it would be great if I could lead a pie lifestyle.
"Sure, you say, but if I eat too much pie, I'll get fat. And lord knows, that's a real possibility. But here's the thing. How many of you have ever met a really fat Amish man? I haven't. And they eat pie more or less constantly, or so my Amish neighbors tell me. The trick is matching the pie to the pie lifestyle."

Re: time management
Date: 2010-03-26 12:02 pm (UTC)I'm doing the cleaning in dribs and drabs, since I'm hosting dinner tonight. But at least that means the oven/stove get a 24-hour break from use automatically :-)
