End of Hanuka, plus organics delivery
Dec. 12th, 2007 08:56 pm- a full hanukia
- unexpected gift bag
- completing a shlichut from January
- yesterday morning turkey sighting
- warm enough to take off both coat and fleece for the walk in this morning
- and wear sandals, which is good, because one Achilles tendon is acting up, so most of my shoes are not comfortable (not sure what to do about tomorrow with its projected 6-9 inches of snow...)
- plus, no ice hazards
- department lunch, with food brought for me
- an orker-friend's excitement over getting a farm share next year
- playing with Google maps street view, the ability to see 360 degrees at street level, now covering metro Boston (a little dizzifying, but still very neat (I wonder if that effect ties into why certain kinds of online games are not at all appealing?))
- reviews of milk (link via Benzero)
- making it to the gym (a trend I definitely need to continue)
From Boston Organics, a small, one-third fruit box, with
- eight ounces of white mushrooms
- two medium large zucchini
- a biggish eggplant
- a bunch of broccoli
- three large yellow onions
- five medium yams
- five kiwi fruit (idea for what to do with them other than just eat raw, which seems not to be happening?)
- two Hamlin oranges
- four Satsuma tangerines
