Commuting today

magidI hadn't realized how early the site starts being worked on for the 4th of July extravaganza at the Hatch Shell. This morning there were crews putting up scaffolding, and there are fences and tents already up.
I didn't get out as early this morning as I'd hoped, only 10 or 15 minutes earlier than yesterday, so it was a dripping sort of walk. On the plus side, I pretended I was 'drafting' behind someone who passed me on the bridge, which got me to pick up the pace during the biggest patch of unabated sun, and meant I shaved a couple minutes off my usual time.
One of the buildings in Kendall is missing a few letters: "A Development of Bos n Propertie" makes me think of corporate pirates, making the bosun do all the work.
I'm dreading going outside, but I have to sometime soon to get my farm loot. Perhaps I'll be lazy and go home so I can drive to the pickup rather than carry it all back in the heat. Hrm. (Note: the car has AC. The apartment does not.)
I vaguely remember someone expressing interest in Annotated Alice, but no memory of who. I saw a copy in the window of Lorem Ipsum, so if it's someone reading this who wants it, I'm happy to pick it up for you.
