Shabbat food
Jun. 16th, 2007 09:53 pm- grape liquid, challah (white flour, multigrain flakes, flaxseed meal)
- lox, to eat with challah
- roasted vegetables (onion, summer squash, Roma tomatoes, cauliflower)
- kale and potato cooked with panch phoron (fennel, cumin, fenugreek, mustard, and nigella seeds)
- hakurei turnip slaw (dressed with grated ginger, rice vinegar, scallions, soy sauce, and a bit of sugar)
- fruit compote (peach, nectarine, plum, strawberry, and rhubarb)
I had thought to make a green salad and some more cooked greens, but that didn't happen. Ah, well.
