Boston Organics, and weather

And a dozen eggs. I'm particularly glad about the onions and leeks, since I realized last night that I'm completely out. I'll need to get more, of course, but it's something. I'll likely need more veggies for Shabbat anyway.
First thoughts: green salad, perhaps with blood orange, or regular orange (I have a citrus backlog); roasted cauliflower (of course); some breakfast-like dish with potatoes, leeks, and eggs. I might also try a recipe from the flyer for candied blood orange slices (slice thinly; boil in 1 c water + 1 c sugar in one layer for about 40 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pith is clear).
The office closed at 4; it was much more adventurous coming home than getting to work, with slush and water everywhere, sometimes over ice. (New England denizens) If you aren't home yet, please be careful.*
As soon as I got home, I picked up the shovel again, though this time more for scraping than anything else (rather like using one of those flat wooden 'spoons' on an Italian ice). I wasn't able to get all the packed slush/ice off my sidewalk, but it's better. I cleared the drain on the corner, and the lake nearest me started to drain. It was kinda fun, making sure it didn't get backed up with the solids in the water, until it slowed in a place I couldn't get to, under the one car parked in the way. Phooey.
The worst part is that it's supposed to freeze tonight, which means tomorrow will be awful.
* Post written around 6; LJ weirdness kept me from posting until now. I certainly hope everyone's made it home from work by now...
