take out for shabbat

magidwhy am i unable to go out & buy all take-out for shabbat, even if it's just for me? i think it's a congenital problem...
out in chicago, everything was bought, and we had a perfectly nice meal. maybe i'm just too cheap, or want more leftovers (i am having people over later in the weekend, so leftovers now means less work later) ....
so instead of getting some chinese food and calling it a day, instead i have chicken in the oven (using summer 2000 mango chutney; i've been in a chutney mood), potatoes roasting. still have to make the tilapia, also some cran relish, some green veggies.
not to mention get my laundry out of the way, straighten for shabbat, retrieve my hotplate... (why am i posting now?)
