Farm share, week 12

Not quite as much stuff as last week, and none of the hoped-for melon, alas. Still, good things.

• a head of lettuce (it looked like the only kind they had was romaine)
  
• a head of celery
  
• ten carrots
  
• a bunch of kale (I got lacinato.)
  
• nine tomatoes
  
• a head of garlic
  
• three white onions
  
• two hot peppers (a couple of different kinds, not sure quite what, though)
  
• two sweet peppers (I chose long, thin, red ones.)
  
  
• fruit share: six apples (I can't believe it's late enough in the year for these!)
  
• three yellow plums

And the tomato festival is this Sunday. Yay!

Plus the Boston Organics stuff: small box, some fruit.

• one head of cauliflower
  
• a bunch of white-stemmed chard (local)
  
• two ears of corn (local)
  
• three Russet potatoes
  
• two medium zucchinis
  
• a pint of grape tomatoes
  
• two oranges
  
• two kiwis
  
• four Mariposa plums
  
• a pound of strawberries*

* According to the newsletter, people later in the week will be getting blueberries.
