Spherical rectangle, that is.

The most extreme points I've been:
North: Cambridge, England at 52N13
East: Tiberias, Israel at 35E32
South: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at 9N02
West: San Francisco, USA at (-)122W25

The middle of the rectangle is 30N37 (-)43W58, which is somewhere in the Atlantic. I'm not sure where I've been that's closest, especially if one considers trans-Atlantic flight routes.

Idea from Cartographica.

i think this is totally cool :)

For the latitudes and longitudes, I used this (It's an astrology site, of all things; I found that before anything more scientific.).

To find where the middle was, I used this.

I used this site (http://www.mapsofworld.com/lat_long/index.html) ('cause it's what I found in the meantime) and didn't bother looking for the middle since I'm certain it's in the ocean somewhere.

If you count airports:
Keflavik, Iceland 64.02N 22.35W
If not:
Edinburgh, Scotland 55.57N 03.17W

Wien, Austria 48.12N 16.22E

Tofino, Pacific Rim Nat'l Park 49.11N 125.55W

Ponce, Puerto Rico 18.01N 66.37W
