I had only 2 wisdom teeth which came out when I was 22 or so and in a ridiculous amount of pain (they were impacted). I'm told I don't have the other two at all. I told the dentist I'd believe that when I was 50, because my mother was told all her life that she didn't have ANY wisdom teeth until all four of them came in while she was in her 30s. (Of course, we've got better xrays these days, so the dentist assures me I don't have any more!)

Anyway, have fun with the teething! It sucks!

Your wisdom teeth sound like an ordeal, indeed. Luckily for me, mine tend to be not impacted, and there's room in my jaw (big mouth :-), so it's just a bit inflamed, which is more a nuisance than anything else. Plus, it seems a bit silly that the first wisdom tooth came in 19-20 years ago, and this slacker's showing up now.

(But hey, I have a tooth erupting! Almost a volcano in my mouth. Er, just as long as there's no lava... :-)
