- cucumber salad with feta, lemon zest, lemon juice, chives, and mint
- salmon topped with cranberry chutney
- slices of baked sweet potato
- dry-fried string beans with garlic oil and tarragon vinegar
- green salad with spinach, arugula, tomatoes, and walnuts
- edit rice with zaatar /edit
- sour cherry and chocolate chunk bread (When Pigs Fly)
- applesauce

The one who didn't care for beets was pleased to have none on her polenta.
I also defrosted some of last summer's strawberries with a bit of sugar.
In the end, there was enough food, though the only thing I had a lot left of was the rice, which can be reused into a savory rice pudding, or some kind of stir-fried rice.
