My parents just called me from a poetry slam.

Mom told me she liked it. That said, I don't see either her or Dad getting up to read poetry. They leave the performing to Aunt B.

No, I don't see either of them getting up to read poetry, either. But then, I didn't picture them going to a slam in the first place, so...

(And you know, I can't quite picture Aunt B getting up to read at a slam either. For a family gathering of some sort, sure, or to teach a class, definitely, but poetry for strangers, somehow not.)

Aunt B could. Given proper incentive I can see her doing it. I say this because of her long-term profession pre-retirement. I mean, think about it.
But yeah, I don't think of the parents as poetry slam types.
