Late Monday/early Tuesday night I woke up with just the faintest touch of a sore throat. It was enough, though, to tell me I was in for this winter's cold. The timing sucks, of course, since (a) I was to have given blood yesterday morning, and (b) I just found out the deadline for [piece of project I'm working on], and it's next Friday. Of a short week, and the day Arisia starts. Excellent.
Yesterday the sore throat progressed nicely, and by the evening the whole head was involved. Sinuses never quite right, tiredness behind the eyes, inability to face cold liquids, general feeling of mental slowness. I really appreciate (a) having ginger tea and (b) gingered vegetable soup, of which I had bowls and bowls. Yum. Oh, and (c) a very early night.
Today it's not much worse, and I'm hoping more early nights and lots of hot tea and ginger will help it on its way. I'd really like to be healthy before Sunday.
ETA Favorite phrase from the insert in the ginger tea: navel point balance.
