Sudden horrible thought

If the court decision in favor of gay marriage in MA had been six months later than it was, there wouldn't've been time to get DOMA on the ballot in all those states, which might've meant fewer conservatives at the polls. Maybe, anyway.

Sigh.

Well, yes.

I've been thinking about that this morning as well... 11 states had the DOMA, and it passed in all 11 states, and that got social conservative voters to the polls.

That's something I didn't understand about the timing in MA, and the timing in San Fran, and, well, the timing everywhere.

There's still the abortion issue. And the "let's teach ABSTINENCE!!!" issue. But, yeah. All the same, I'm glad at least one state is going the right direction.
