Flower identification

I was gifted with flowers last night, and I have no idea what kind they are. They're stalky (ie more like a gladiolus than a daisy), and curve about half-way up the petal part. Does anyone know of a database or something online where I could figure out what they are?

Thank you. Tonight's dinner guest immediately identified them as ginger flowers (I wish my ginger would get anything near this!).
