Farm share, week 17
Oct. 13th, 2004 08:19 pmFruit and veggies still.
This week's newsletter is an application for a winter share through Drumlin Farm, which sounds great: garlic, onions, carrots, potatoes, winter squash, celeriac, parsnips, beets, and some greens, from November through late February. The catch: pickup is at the farm (in Lincoln), on Thursdays, between noon and five. Which doesn't work well with the whole working downtown thing. Sigh.
- a half peck of apples
- a head of red cabbage
- a bunch of six largish carrots with greens
- a bunch of parsley
- a bag (three pounds?) of potatoes
- a leek
- five red onions
- two beets
- an acorn squash
- another small winter squash (squat, but with delicata coloring)
