It's that time of year
Sep. 24th, 2004 07:40 amTo think about relationships with other people. I hope I've hurt or offended no one this year, but since that's unlikely to be true, please either accept my apology, or email me (the lj one is fine) to let me know how I can make amends.

May 1st: no pole. what good are you?
February 17th: your sled bumped into my sled and I fell off into the snow
December 25th: YOU DIDN'T SAVE ME ANY CHINESE FOOD
November 27th: there were only 50 varieties of pies. my momma always provides at least 86
June 5th: the pasta was too squishy
September, all of it: too many holidays. the nerve!
June 28th: you neglected to celebrate my brother's birthday (so did i)
May 31st: you beat me at boggle
June 1st: failure to apologize for beating me at boggle
August, all of it: too humid
September 23rd: the Red Sox lost
March 4th: you pointed out a weird bird and I tripped while twisting to look and fell into the street and got hit by a car
January 1st: drunken phone calls not such a good idea for you

Date: 2004-09-24 07:30 am (UTC)That looks like far more than one year's worth.
And September 23rd was not my fault. Despite that pentagram on the floor and all the bird feathers. Really.

Date: 2004-09-24 07:28 am (UTC)I think of this as a chance to make sure things are on an even keel with people (or not screwed up, or whatever). If it's not an outstanding issue between us, then it's not a problem. Which is to say, if whatever wrongs have happened in the last year have been worked out or worked around, then huzzah, there's nothing to deal with now. It's a great feeling to start the year with a clean slate, whether it's clean because recently wiped or wiped in previous months...
