magidAre there more mosquitos this year? I seem to be getting more bug bites than usual.
I have two big planters with tomatoes in them, right next to each other on the porch. I don't understand why, after yesterday's downpour, one of them has inches of standing water, while the other one has none.
Legal for sprites: implicit.
Painful for certain insects: antagonist.
A perfect day for a bike ride. I wish I were in better shape, but at least I managed something.
DWJ: there's going to be a new Chrestomanci novel coming out... in 2005. I'll have to forget about this for a while, to keep the wait from being interminable.
I'm currently working my way through Lois McMaster Bujold's books. Yummy.
Huzzah! I've found other people who also like Shaker lemon pie!
Hot lava is scarier than Berlin in 1945. I really should get a copy of Apples to Apples; it's such a silly, social sort of game.
I finally successfully pestoized using my blender. I'm pleased.

Date: 2004-07-26 05:03 am (UTC)I noticed a lot more mosquitoes in southern IL over the Fourth, and was hoping I wouldn't be bitten so much at home (helped by living on the second floor). Alas, I was wrong. Sigh.
