After a weekend in NYC, I was too exhausted to go see history in the making at midnight a mile from my house. I feel lame about it.

Luckily, NikkiNewsNet was there, taking pictures, and Hammercock wrote up her experience as well (not to mention many many many more official news outlets...).

i also feel lame. i was up at 11:30, debating going. then i fell asleep :/

i can sort of console myself with the knowledge that i wouldn't have been able to get close anyway, since most of the streets surrounding were blocked off, and i can't walk far. but still, lame.

I keep trying to console myself thinking that there were tons of people there, it wasn't as if my not being there was noticeable in such a crowd (a horrible sort of logic, thinking about a democracy where so many people don't bother to vote because they feel it won't make a difference).
But. I still feel I lamed on a once-ever sort of thing. Phooey.

we realized that a) the T would be closed on the way home; b) parking would be a nightmare, and c) we'd never find anyone we knew in that crowd anyway.
also, it being a school night didn't help. and BB only had like 3 hours of sleep saturday night.

still upset i missed it, though.

*nod* to all of that. If I thought I could've taken today off from work... (but having taken Friday, it didn't seem... appropriate, somehow).

Well, except (b): you know you can always borrow my visitor pass, which would've gotten you reasonably close to where you wanted to be.
