Peanut butter in tubes. Yes, the ultimate in convenience. And it comes in five variations: Dreamy Creamy, Munchy Chrunchy, Cinnamon Surprise, Caramel-Carmel Crunch, and (my favorite in weirdness) Jalapeno Kick. (Online info here.).

Why is it that there's always something bizarre when I go there?

Next time I'll buy some, perhaps, just out of curiosity.

Well, if I do try any of them, that would be the one.
I've already heard that Frank's hot sauce on peanut butter crackers is good, so perhaps this is analogous.

I saw it there last night, by the registers, and I contemplated picking one up just for the oddness factor. But I refrained. If you do end up getting some, please share your impressions of it.

Definitely.

Though the cinnamon and the caramel both sound good (well, for peanut butter, a thing I enjoy only very intermittently), I'd have to get the jalapeno. Too weird not to try, as it were.

(Sudden thought: This is a product designed for convenience, but what if the kids having a snack decide to use it to make nice squiggles on the wall, or the back of the seat in front of them? I wonder how hard it is to get peanut butter off things.)

Try this at home! Mix maple syrup and peanut butter. Spread on, uh whatever you like!! Yummy

I haven't used maple syrup, but I have tried honey and peanut butter, and it was good. Usually, though, I'm not in a peanut butter mood.

And I'm not sure how I'd mix jalapenos into peanut butter (which is the one I'd buy, being the oddest).

Try one of the distilled hot sauces to mix in, essence of capsicin (sp?)

That makes sense. I have a couple of hot sauces around (I was in a hot sauce mood some months ago, so got a bottle of every one that was marked kosher at Market Basket), too. The only potentially tricky part I can see is evenly distributing the spiciness without adding so much that it overwhelms.
