magidI'm decorating a wooden box to turn into a nightstand (the theory being that once I have a place for a lamp next to the bed, I'll get a lamp). Last night I glued the keys on the glow-in-the-dark background; Elmer's worked just fine. One down, five to go.
Yesterday was the opening of Mel Gibson's controversial movie. I had a particularly appropriate breakfast this morning: roasted cauliflower (amazingly wonderful, especially with onions) and steamed Brussels sprouts. Hooray for cruciferous vegetables!
Spring is coming; I've been hearing birdsong in the morning for almost a week now. The light is changing, too. I notice it in the morning when I see where the light reaches on the corner of the house next door, just visible from my bedroom window. I notice it during the day as the sun arcs higher, which means less time wearing the goofy hat to keep the glare out of my eyes as I work. And I notice it in the afternoon, which is getting longer and longer.
Note to motorist on Rte. 20 yesterday afternoon: it is while it is never considered good manners to give someone the finger, it is particularly perplexing why one would resort to this behavior when someone is giving you the right of way.
I saw people feeding the birds by Watertown Square (ducks, geese, seagulls, and swans). I can't remember the last time I fed the birds... About a week before Passover would be a good time, too.
