phrases that caught my eye today:
Frederick's of gingerbread
gum blobs
Why does some food have strings (ie celery, bananas)? What purpose do the strings serve, anyway? And while I'm wondering, what purpose does fuzziness serve fruits? (The only fuzzy foods I can think of (well, barring mold-encrusted stuff, of course) are apricots, peaches, and kiwis.)
Glad it was warm enough to snow last night; wouldn't mind if it stayed that warm...
Must find another lemon curd recipe to try; the texture is definitely wrong on this first batch. Ah, well.

Date: 2003-01-27 01:38 pm (UTC)I also found a couple of permutations online that I may try (one of which is nondairy, and uses the microwave. I'm a bit sceptical, but I might try it for the lactose intolerant among my friends. Sadly, no vegan ones. Though if there are reasonable egg substitutes, it might work...).

Date: 2003-01-27 10:09 am (UTC)I wondered if you saw that when I read that this morning. You know, a gingerbread person decorating party would be a neat idea.

Must've been overload, 'cause I know there's tons out there.
Maybe tomorrow I'll be evil.

Dang. Now I want pizza.
Re: Party
Date: 2003-01-27 12:54 pm (UTC)Topping someone else's potato might be skirting the boundaries of consensuality a little too closely.
But if he was a real spudmuffin...
