Productive Sunday
Jan. 12th, 2003 03:05 pmI woke up early (well, far earlier than I needed to, on a weekend), thoughts of all I wanted to do swirling around my head. Amazingly, I've gotten a lot of things done today.
And now I really should get dressed and get out of the house.
- The Shabbat dishes are all washed.
- I made a breakfast m-over (onions, mushrooms, breadcrumbs, scallions, black pepper, leftover carrot-pea-onion-garlic, eggs).
- I glued the glass bubbe candlestick back together. I don't even know anymore how long since it broke...
- I glued one of the broken pottery bowls back together (broken after the candlestick, but still measured in years). Using the pottery glue required a lot more time to hold the pieces together, which is a boring sort of job. I decided to postpone fixing the other broken bowl, the one that broke within the last month or so (hasn't aged properly yet... :-)
- I made four pints of preserved lemon.
- I made some chain-and-wire jewelry (necklace and bracelet), projects that had been kicking around in my head for a long while. I didn't end up making pieces that I'd originally thought I'd make, but I'm reasonably pleased with them (for now, anyway)(plus it gave me an excuse to buy wire snips). Perhaps if I make some more pieces, I'll get other tools (the only other "tool" I used was a chopstick.).
- Oh, and the fridge is almost completely cleaned out, too.
And now I really should get dressed and get out of the house.
