With all the LJ wonkiness, someone asked me which cluster I was on (since not all clusters are having problems, apparently). I checked here, and found that I am on Chef Cluster. How thoughtful of them!
People are not considered meat, just not kosher, unless there's nothing else around to eat (um, as it were...), in which case, they're neutral (pareve), I believe. So non-milk chocolate becomes more a preference than a requirement.
Maple pumpkin butter sounds like a good thing, on whomever/whatever (well, maybe not on anchovy pizza...).
Cannibalism is forbidden, unless something like you've crashed on a deserted desert island that has no food except for those killed in the crash kind of situations. People aren't food, therefore they're not "meat." Other things that people sometimes ingest but aren't considered food would also be pareve. And hey, isn't it nice that all the situations are considered? ;-)
Don't you watch holiday advertising? It clearly shows Santa running out to stores like Radio Shack and Target and picking up gifts for those hard-to-find-gift-for folks. Clearly, they would never use the image of Santa in this way if it weren't absolutely consistent with the image Santa wishes to maintain; Santa has a fleet of elf lawyers that work all year round making sure that no one inappropriately co-ops his image for their own purposes. Given this, clearly Santa is a consumer as well as a producer. Also, look at that weight. That didn't get there on its own. There was some distinct consuming going on at some point. My logic on this Santa related subject is irrefutable.
Ah, obviously I am indeed lacking in hours spent watching holiday advertising! I hadn't realized Santa had liscenced his image so aggressively...
Santa may have been consuming, but wouldn't all of that running around shopping have worked some of it off? Perhaps he has a genetic disposition to it? Hm. Now that Santa doesn't have any more shopping to do, perhaps someone should be buying him a gym membership... o

I have a truly, truly tasteless (ahem) response to this. I'm going to refrain.

A cat-worth of cat-hair, I assume, rather than the entire cat....?
Refrain, now? Why? ;-)
