Shabbat evening

Dinner went off pretty well. The food came out, and there was interesting discussion of some items (how most za'atar needs extra sumac, finding good pareve chocolate-chip cookies, how some people prefer the stems to the heads of broccoli). There was also the by-now-obligatory discussion of The Two Towers, which people were less critical of at this meal than the previous night's dinner. Also talk of diet controlling medical conditions, MIT geeks' powers (and social groups), and some really bad puns (not all by me, I might add!). I got to introduce Guillotine to a couple of people, which was fun, especially since they liked it. Oh, and a last-minute play by someone else gave me the win, which was rather a surprise, since I hadn't been in the lead the entire time.
