Modern virtues
Dec. 29th, 2002 06:03 pmI have made it to the gym three times in the last three days, and plan to the next two days as well. Vacation combined with a limited-time pass are helping me in my quest for movement. I've used the elliptical cross-trainers twice, a circuit through the weight machines once, the hot tub twice, and the sauna once. Still haven't managed to try a class, since all the ones I'd thought about trying this afternoon were cancelled. Tomorrow, perhaps. And I got to try a mini-trampoline.
And now, of course, I'm very hungry, since breakfast was ages ago. Artichokes have been made, there's a tray of carrots, parsnips, and sweet potatoes roasting in the oven, and I'm thinking about making a batch of cranberry lime jam. Should figure out some protein to eat as well, I suppose.

At last night's party there were plattersful of it, looking nummy, and I didn't have any (that kosher thing again); I almost took myself out for a steak tonight in compensation. Hm. There's always tomorrow... (I took the easy way out, boiled some eggs. It meant I had time to pay attention to the jam when I needed to, which was good. The batch ended up being 5 half-pints. :-)
