Son of the Bride of Turkey
Dec. 9th, 2002 08:34 amTurkey take 0: Buy 9.5 lb turkey.
Turkey take 1: Roasted with stuffing, served to six reasonably hungry people Thanksgiving evening.
Turkey take 2: Soup with lots of veggies, using the frame and whatever else was less of interest left after dinner. Served a variety of nights, both with and without different kinds of dumplings (at least 10 bowlsful, probably more).
Turkey take 3: Stir fry, using the solids left in the soup, since there was almost no liquid left. Sautee onion, broccoli, carrot, soy beans, water chestnuts. Add the rest of the turkey and whatever veggies from the soup. Add soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil (possibly a little too much of this). Ate a couple of bowls, and there is some of this left over still. But at least the big fleishig pot is no longer taking up room in my fridge.
