Nice night, if not loooony

I got home in enough time to not only start more laundry, and straighten my apartment (more... it's always a work in progress), but also make the dish I'd planned to bring to Hrafn's birthday celebration: rice with black beans, sauteed onions and (3 colors, 2 kinds of) peppers, with chili-styles seasonings, some cheese on the side for them's that eats cheese.

Amazing how little traffic there was yesterday (also noted by Bitty).

Party highlights: budgie cake (vegan! made by Queue), and seeing Hrafn's smile when she saw what it was. people euchre-obsessed enough to sit on the kitchen floor to play. cherry tomatoes from Bitty's garden. salt and pepper kettle chips (thanks, Treacle_Well). funny birthday cards. fascinating banana-suntan-lotion-smelling, pie-filling-feeling, noisy goo (hint: the container is actually useful). ZZBottom's innuendoes. fun conversations (except for the funereal one). seeing Hrafn's watercolors (oh fruit-focused painter!).
