Such amazing, frabjus autumn weather this morning. I wanted to play hooky from work, go apple-picking. But there are enough things actually sitting on my desk that this would be a bit more irresponsible than I'm comfortable with (esp since I'm taking Monday for Yom Kippur). At least I know I'll be getting a bit of a walk this afternoon (and will likely need to bring a jacket! :-)

Now if only my itching stopped (though I admit the levels have decreased; I think some bits are actually healing. Huzzah), and I could get into my home email. I've had troubles with the dialup the last two days, but no time (or expertise) to deal with it. I wonder what I'm missing, and if I've already dissed people by not responding to email. Grrr.

For true fear, you must read the web page I found on assorted home remedies for poison ivy. I will try to look it up for you later. I suppose you *could* try some of the suggestions, which various people claim work, or at least cause pain that distracts them from the itching, but I didn't go for them myself. Lucky for me, my outbreak was very small, so it was never too much of a problem. It did seem to take forever to go away, though. I hope you're alright soon.

I found some scary suggestions for treatment online, too. Many of them I will *not* be trying...

What's really annoying is that, despite the nurse practitioner telling me that "poison ivy doesn't spread," even 2 weeks later I had some new outbreaks, in different areas of my body....

October is really the first time things free up for me, somewhat (though I do have a lot of vacation time left...). A couple of people have mentioned a group excursion for apple picking, so perhaps I *should* coordinate something.

Now that Cthulhia has listed all the open studios on her calendar, I see how all the weekends until forever have some open studios or another... Perhaps a Sunday morning apple picking, leaving time for art appreciation later?
