Teabag Tag
Sep. 10th, 2002 08:56 amA cow orker suggested green tea compresses help poison ivy. So last night I ran a cool bath while making half a soup pot full of green tea, then dumped into the tub. It was... interesting. A tea bath, with the teabags in it (I hadn't bothered to fish them out of the pot, being so incredibly lazy.). Strange to have intentionally honey-brown bath water... Unfortunately, other than the usual soothing cool bath, it didn't seem to do much.
OTOH, I also got some OTC Benadryl gel stuff, which claims "extra strength itch relief." It's a clear kinda thick liquid consistency that went on liquid, but was drying to the skin. So far, so good: I woke up once in the light, scratched just a little bit, and was able to get back to sleep. Amazing. Perhaps in another week I'll be itch-free.
Burst of efficiency this morning: I put in two trays of veggies to roast this morning before work (one of potatoes, sweet potatoes, and onions, the other of carrots, beets, parsnips, and onions), and I finally transplanted the rosemary at work, that had been totally rootbound.
