The ropes that are hanging outside my window turn out to be for a couple of men who seem to be recaulking the building, not window washers after all (and me with the window needing cleaning since about 2 days after the last washing, since a bird smashed into my window and left a mark.). There's some weird dry scraping sounds right now because of this, trowelly things scraping off the extra or something.
