Farm share, week 4
Jul. 2nd, 2014 06:16 pm- three pickling cucumbers
- three medium-small summer squash (I chose golden zucchini and cousa)
- a bunch of small white onions
- a head of lettuce (I couldn't resist the cutest Boston lettuce, though there were other red-leafed kinds available)
- a bowl of baby beet greens (the kind with the baby beet attached)
- a bowl of salad greens (with flowers!)
- a head of frisee (I chose a red-leafed kind)
- a bunch of chard (I chose red)
- a bunch of herbs (there was oregano, thyme, cilantro, and sage; I chose the latter)
- a bunch of dill
- a bunch of parsley (I chose flat-leaf)
- seven garlic scapes
- and to make up for last week's shortage of kale, a bunch of red curly kale
- and also a head of crinkly green cabbage
- and a bunch of beets with their greens
Last week, I gave the woman at the distribution site some jam; this week she gave me seven of the mini canning jars (a quarter pint, I think they are). Yay!
