1 Fractions and decimals fine, no negative numbers; more than two-step equations fine; four basic operations only; use letters for variables. Also: very smart kid, can get ahead of himself.
2 Whole numbers only for equations and answers, and reasonably 'nice ones' (small or otherwise easy up to 2-digit numbers; a couple of more than two-step equations solved; use shapes for variables. Also: scary smart kid, motor control still in process.
