Some things that I liked (some recent, some not at all, due to having been buried in drafts and such):
- The Bloggess celebrated 16 years of marriage (also relevant: her celebration after 15 years, worth reading first, which had me crying with laughter).
- A mom who schleps her six kids around Portland OR by bike.
- An online kosher meat place, that offers leg meat (not only the front half, in beef, lamb, and goat!
- The Black Rock City's farmers market has an Indiegogo campaign to return this year.
- A blind man who has taught himself to echolocate.
- A visually disturbing floor that wouldn't bother him.
- A compendium of offbeat places all over the world.
- An author attempting poses of women drawn on fantasy covers.
- The Finnish educational system was designed for equity, not excellence, but gets amazing results anyway. Oh, and teachers are respected and well paid, given autonomy and responsibility.
- How to be interesting, illustrated with nifty graphs and Venn diagrams, even.
- Bits of hidden history of the NYC subway.
- A map of US counties, by tweets of church vs beer (SF and Boson are highest beer tweeters).
