The Lions of Al-Rassan
Apr. 1st, 2012 06:41 amI don't know how many times I've read this; my best estimate is lots. And yet, with yesterday's reareading, it still brought me to tears, though in different places. Some of it is the book, some of it reflections of where I am now, and as always, a touch of it is memories of Elka, cut off too soon.
And even the dream in my Shabbat afternoon nap was philosophical: I asked a little blonde girl what she was doing, and she replied, "I am becoming myself."
