Shabbat food
Mar. 6th, 2009 04:33 pmI hadn't been inspired to cook last night. Today, I got home at a quarter to 4. Candlelighting is 5:21. Since getting home, this is what I've made:
* salmon baked with a topping of apricot jam mixed with chipotle mustard
* roasted sweet potatoes and beets
* dry-fried green beans
* sauteed onions, sweet potatoes, lacinato kale (and the few beet greens) with chickpeas, raisins, hot sauce, and black pepper, plus ground turkey seasoned with cayenne, turmeric, cinnamon, and cumin (freshly ground, since I found I had seeds but none ground)
I have rolls a variety of grape liquids, plus salad fixings. I think I'm done.
Shabbat shalom to thems that observe it, and happy weekend to all.
