Seduced into Eden: the Beginning of Desire

Last night I went to hear Dr. Avivah Gottlieb Zornberg talk about ( seduction and desire. )

There are so many interesting threads in this, possibilities that could go this way or that. Of course, that might be because I, too, am a woman, and open to new ideas; right after the talk ended, I heard a guy behind me saying flat out that he didn't buy it. Which is sort of the point, I suppose.

Wednesday's brain fluff

The new tree in front of my house has leaves on it. I hope it continues to grow and thrive; that spot hasn't been a good one for saplings in the past.

The T started using CharlieTickets on the Blue Line yesterday. Every time I see "CharlieTicket," I think I'm going to get to go through Checkpoint Charlie.

Two more cavities filled. I didn't expect to be in the chair long enough for the novocaine to wear off.
(Side note: blocking the ears when the drill is in the mouth doesn't make it any quieter.)
