Extreme miscellany
Jul. 13th, 2004 01:22 pmThere were a couple of girls at the airport who weren’t walking, but rolling. I looked, and they were wearing sneakers. Sneakers with wheels in them, fitted in the sole so they look about normal. They seem to be called Street Flyers, but I also saw sites that mentioned “walk and roll” (groan). Why do we need this?
Opinion: "china doll" or "china head doll"?
Good news for DWJ fans: according to Neil Gaiman’s blog, there’s going to be a movie of Howl’s Moving Castle. (Here’s a trailer.)
Cute kid on the T Sunday, a little girl who quietly looked around at people until it was time to get off the train, when she waved and said "Goodbye, train!" a number of times.
Reality TV is getting stranger: now both ABC and Fox are going to have wife swapping shows, Wife Swap and Trading Spouses, respectively. The vague descriptions imply that the shows don’t include sex or anything like that, but really, how far will it be from viewers’ thoughts?
A geometry challenge in the life of a vet… death tetris. (possibly too grisly for some)
