Un-good things
Update (0740, 2/13/04)
Not only has most of the house been bulldozed, but also the wonderful trellis, and much of the beautifully laid-out yard/garden. I have the horrible suspicion that it's turning into a horrible upscale townhouse-condo situation. Goodbye to the house I lusted after for years.
Numerous applications of hot water may have rescued the pareve pot after all. And the burning smell has faded, too.
- euchre evening plus hugs
- signing up for this year's CSA
- live theater with friends
- a new vegetable peeler
- giving blood (which now feels like a political statement too; but I do it because I still can since it seems better than the alternative)
- and getting a free fleece scarf for it
Un-good things
- overtiredness
- with the resulting greater emotional fragility
- burning sugar syrup in my one pareve pot enough that I need to replace it
- and having the apartment smell of burning
- endless valentine's day commercialism
- seeing most of one of my favorite houses bulldozed
- appointment scheduling snafus
