Latest LJ annoyance

Last night I saw my first production of Chess. I'd been assured it's a wonderful musical, and I'd be willing to give it a second chance.

The lack of grammar in and of itself is annoying, of course, but to get spam like this with just a subject line and nothing after it makes me wonder why they bothered to send it at all.
Of course, it does give opportunity to figure out an answer, like wondering why a raven is like a writing desk (though distinctly less alliterative).
So. First attempts at an answer:
