Winter farm share, distribution 2 of 11
Nov. 16th, 2022 08:04 pm- two pounds of daikon
- two pounds of beets (I chose red only, no Chioggia)
- three pounds of carrots
- a pound of small potatoes
- five very small yellow onions
- six heads of garlic
- two very small heads of cabbage
- three very small heads of cauliflower
- a bunch of cilantro (swapped for more carrots, being the easiest of the options in the swap box)
- two ENORMOUS bunches of kale (as in, one bunch mostly filled a handled grocery bag
- two pounds of spinach (which is also a freaking lot in volume
First thoughts: roasted carrots and beets with chicken for Shabbat; carrot-daikon slaw of some sort; sauteed onions, potatoes, and spinach; spinach pie; kale salad with lemon-tahini dressing.
Also, a bit surprised there weren't any winter squash or sweet potato, given next week's holiday.
