I picked these up on Monday the 14th and Monday the 28th, and they were pretty similar: a big bag of veggies that included orange carrots, beets in some color or other, some potatoes, and a starburst purple daikon or two, plus a pound of Jacob's cattle beans (not sure whether it's the only option each week, or whether the people who've picked up earlier have chosen whatever other kind may have been available), and a wonderfully-corn-smelling package of fresh corn tortillas that I've given away to various friends, due to the lack of hechsher (the reminder email this time included a link to an article about the producers, which was an interesting read, and made me less certain that they might actually be kosher, due to all the kitchenware needed to process corn from the cob all the way to tortilla, through the whole nixtamalization process). The only difference between the two pickups was the first of these also included a Macomber rutabaga or two.
Overall, I'm reasonably happy with what I've been getting (though some of the potatoes are not in as good shape as I'd prefer), but a little bit bored with the uniformity; it would be great to see some parsnips, or sweet potatoes, or any alliums (though I know these are bulbs, not roots, and sweet potatoes are tubers, I think, and the name of the place is "Winter Moon Roots"...). Or even a choice of bean types.
