Farm share, week 14
Sep. 5th, 2018 10:41 pm- three pounds of red-skinned potatoes
- 12 ounces of orange carrots
- two and a half pounds of orange Roma-style tomatoes
- two pounds of red tomatoes
- two bunches of red radishes with greens (plus two extra because it was the end of the pickup)
- a giant bok choy
- four hot peppers
- three medium-small eggplant
- two white onions
- a bunch of cilantro (given away; I almost asked if they'd give me one of their 10 apples from their fruit share, but then felt it would be too pushy)
- a third of a pound of mixed mushrooms (most oyster, some not)(but labeled from Mycoterra Farm, not Fungi Ally, so I'm curious why)
First thoughts: sauteed radish greens with... onions & fish/tofu & miso & mushrooms? a shredded carrot for good measure? Something like that. A bunch of fridge-pickled radishes. Put the hot peppers in with leftover green peppers, onion, maybe some tomato into a relish of some sort. Potato salad with pickles. Roasted eggplant and onion.
