1107 Hot hot hot, also humid, and over 90 F in my living room. Yuck.
1108 Just as it's been for days.
1348 Hm. It's no longer so bright out, and it looks like there's some light cloud cover.
1409 There's rumbling thunder, but the bits of clouds we have now aren't enough to follow through with any decent rain.
1521 Raindrops in the hair, joy in the heart.
1522 Standing out on the porch as the raindrops fall lightly yet steadily.
1523 Huzzah for the first real rainfall in weeks!
1526 Interesting: the angle of the rain means the tomatoes in pots next to the house aren't getting nearly as much water.
1537 Good thing I closed the living room windows; the porch doors can stay open.
1548 Check the angle of the rain. Close the living room windows, open the porch doors.
1559 Keep checking the rain so the windows and doors can be open as much as possible.
1648 Leave the window fan on in the bedroom; it faces the narrow alley, and the angle of the rain won't make it in, but the cool air is great.
1705 It's never a good thing when it rains inside the kitchen.
1706 Raindrops are coming from the end of the track lighting (no light fixtures there now) that was the first leaking in the previous deluge years ago.
1707 Moved all the things on the counter out of the way, and put pots and bowls below.
1708 Lots of splatter when drops land, given the distance, but at least everything that was underneath was in solid containers, so I thin I didn't lose anything.
1725 Check the angle of the next bout of rain. Open the living room windows, close the porch doors.
1730 Living room down to 88 F, but with the breezes, feels cooler.
1733 Check a weather site to see the storm's progress.
1734 Notice that in the Pacific, there's a post-tropical cyclone called Fabio.
1735 Wonder about weather made of long hair spiraling around a man walking across the Pacific.
1754 Check the angle of the rain. Stand in the open doorway to the porch to feel how much rain would come in if they're left open. Enjoy the cool when I stick my head out.
1756 Wow! I could feel the thunder in my chest that time!
1757 Um, I heard the *lightning* then the thunder almost at the same time. That's scary close.
1804 Warned the returning neighbors about possible water in their kitchen.
1806 Water stopped dripping in the kitchen; plan to leave the lights off for a few days to dry out whatever wiring might be affected.
1823 Postponed dinner plans due to the variable weather.
1835 Blue skies spotted between light clouds.
1838 Fluffy white clouds and lots of blue.
1839 A weather site has another band of heavy storms coming north into CT; will it hit us in a few hours or not?
