Or as the white board listed it, "Deep Winter" share, since it was set up outside under a pop-up tent instead of inside.

The loot:
  • a head of garlic
  • a bag of popcorn (about a pound, perhaps a bit more)
  • a bag of spinach (about a third of of a pound)
  • two and a half pounds of white potatoes
  • a pound and a half of beets
  • a pound and a half of carrots
  • a bag of frozen green beans (about a pound)
  • half a pound of alfalfa sprouts
  • a third of a pound of mesclun
  • two heads of lettuce (I got one Boston, and one green that had tinges of red, since there wasn't a red one that I could see)
  • a two-pound bag of whole-grain flour from Upinngil (either buckwheat or rye; I chose the latter because I chose buckwheat last year)
  • a pint of maple syrup from Ripley Farm (note: couldn't find a website for the farm, so this goes to their FB page) (a choice of light or dark amber grade A; I chose dark)

I'd expected some parsnips, since the farm had mentioned having them for this weekend's farmers markets, and I always want onions, but otherwise, I'm pleased with the haul. Note to self: remember that the flour is stored in the freezer.

Side note: the season is changing crazy fast, being well past crocuses and snowdrops and well into daffodils, forsythia, and even magnolias, plus I saw some willow fronds changing to that early yellow-green. It's in the 70s today, but by Monday night is forecast to be in the high 20s.
