Pesach prep: most of the way there
Apr. 6th, 2009 05:04 pmdone
bouts 1 and 2 of grocery shopping
clean out fridge
clean out freezer
vacuuming and other general cleaning around the apartment
put all non-pesach implements/food away
close off cabinets (note to self: it is worth using painter's tape again)
cover dining room table
get pesach gear/food from the odd closet space and the one cabinet
launder tablecloths, etc
kasher sink
kasher stovetop
cover backstairs stuff
foil burners
cover counters
still to do
bout 3 of grocery shopping
clean out car
take out trash and recycling
line sink
Oh, and cook stuff at some point, too.

Date: 2009-04-06 09:16 pm (UTC)Shopping won't get done until last minuter, but as long as I have enough for the first 2 days, I should be fine.
Looking forward to the Kosher Coke! Real sugar!

Date: 2009-04-06 09:20 pm (UTC)Since for me it's a 3-day holiday (first two days into Shabbat), I need to have enough food around for a bunch of meals, including two I'm hosting. Which I think I could do with just a bit more protein, but as long as I'm getting poultry, I should pick up the rest of it...
Good luck in getting everything done!

Date: 2009-04-06 09:51 pm (UTC)(I had extra motivation; not only were friends coming over (read: need to get stuff more organized), there's almost nothing to eat if I can't cook (which is why today's food has consisted of some potatoes (white and sweet) and dried plums that have been sitting in slivovitz for a year :-).

Date: 2009-04-06 10:09 pm (UTC)I too have motivation. I'm just, argh, unclear or something.
Slivovitz! That'll do it. *grin*
I cooked the end of my chametz yesterday before washing the remaining chametz dishes, and wrapped it up tightly in paper and foil and set it aside to eat today, but I ended up eating it last night instead. Oops.
I hope you get to eat something more substantial soon and enjoy the time with your friends.
