In the past two weeks, I've seen snowdrops, crocuses, mini-irises, and mini-daffodils in bloom, and heard much more bird song, especially in the morning. Spring has definitely sprung, despite the frigid winds gusting during my walk to Fort Point last night.

Hurray, I've been wanting to hear this. Hope they didn't die back as quickly as they did spring! Yay, Spring.

I even saw a tree with buds on it, too!

I saw some of the mini-irises for the first time ever this weekend. So neat!

They're cute, but I definitely prefer the full-size ones, I think because the coloring is so close to crocuses, and the size make the shape harder to notice.

The chief appeal to me is that they are in bloom -right now-. As in, early spring. I need more of that :) (And I think a cluster of those little blue irises, next to clusters of purple and white crocus, would look really neat.)
