PSA: Foothills Theater

Yet another possible casualty of the times: Worcester's Foothills Theater will have have to go out of business after 34 years of producing plays in central MA unless they raise $200K in the next two weeks.

The Worcester Craft Center has already closed. :-(

That's aggressively sucky. I remember going to productions when I was a high school student, and taking my own high school students to productions when I was a teacher at Bancroft. And it isn't like Worcester has dramatic venues to burn, either. Very sad news.

The first professional show I remember seeing locally was one of their productions. I'm still hoping that they raise the money in time.

My sister and her husband had subscriptions for several years when they lived in Worcester, and there were several occasions when me and other family members got invited out to see shows with them, and I always enjoyed the performances. So sad that the theater is going out of business.
